HLA is a comprehensive year round youth ministry that seeks to ensure that youth from fatherless homes in underserved communities receive support, guidance and a plan to break the cycles of divorce, poverty and hopelessness.

Spiritual Development
We believe the soul of every child desires to be nourished. “Direct your children onto the right path, and when hen they are older, they will not leave it.” -Proverbs 22:6 NLT
Mentoring Programs
Fatherless children are:
- 4.6x more likely to commit suicide
- 6.6x more likely to become teenage mothers
- 24.3x more likely to run away
Educational Tutoring
In 2008 the percentage of students by 8th grade who achieved the Proficient or Advanced levels (meeting or exceeding state standards) for the STAR testing was 15.4% in our targeted schools.

Be A Model
To be a model is to, mentor, and encourage kids to excel in all that they do by supporting their efforts in education, goal setting and positive reinforcement.

Provide Structure
Provide structure, support and guidance in developing their character by meeting their spiritual and physical needs in a very tangible way.

Teach A Child
Model and teach each child how to serve, respect and give back to the community. In doing this we will pave the way for each child to pursue their goals and dreams.
